Company was created in 2017 and runs in partnership with Anderson, Sycamore, & Indian Hill each year. The program’s goal is to give theatre students high-quality, constructive feedback on their work, as well as unique and personal experience with college-level theatre. Each year, two local Universities send a professor to view and adjudicate two shows from each participating high school’s season. The adjudication includes an informal talk-back, a rubric, and awards. In turn, the students attend a performance at each of the two Universities, followed by a discussion with the cast and crew, a guided tour of the facilities, and a personal experience of what one can expect as a theatre major at that University. Students also become closer to each other as they have meals, share stories, and bond over their love of theatre.
